Florida Swimming’s Senior Championships concluded Sunday in Sarasota, Florida. Despite some soggy weather, some fast times were posted in the meet. Saint Petersburg Aquatics sent 12 swimmers to the Sarasota YMCA: Cameron Chambers, Joshua Chen, Katie Coleman, Autumn Finke, Kaitlin Frehling, Rebecca Halfast, Chloe Hubbard, Tommy Jockers, Alexandra Jones, Sean Kendrick, Georgi Krastev, and Paige Tripp.
Leading scorers for SPA were Autumn Finke, 51 points, Katie Coleman, 36 points, Alexandra Jones, 35 points, Georgi Krastev, 27 points, Kaitlin Frehling, 17 points, Cameron Chambers, 14 points, and Rebecca Halfast, 8 points. SPA swimmers winning events at the meet which was divided into 15/16 and Senior age groups were: Autumn Finke, 15/16 Women’s 1500M Freestyle and Katie Coleman, Senior Women’s 100M Butterfly.
Event Top 16 finishers were: Cameron Chambers, 7th Senior Men’s 1500M Free, 15th Senior Men’s 800M Free; Katie Coleman, 3rd Senior Women’s 200M Butterfly; Autumn Finke, 4th, 15/16 Women’s 800M Free and 3rd, 15/16 Women’s 200M Back; Kaitlin Frehling, 2nd, Senior Women’s 50 Free; Rebecca Halfast, 14th, 15/16 Women’s 200M Back; Alexandra Jones, 10th, 15/16 Women’s 400M Free, 10th, 15/16 Women’s 800M Free, 10th, 15/16 Women’s 100M Back, and 5th, 15/16 Women’s 200M IM; Georgi Krastev, 5th, 15/16 Men’s 100M Back, and 6th, 15/16 Men’s 200M Back.
